One of the most disappointing situations for gamers is settling in for a relaxing session only to find a completely drained controller. It’s easy to forget to plug that little cord into the controller after a long night of gaming. And honestly, it’s not the most elegant way to charge either. Fortunately, there are aftermarket solutions that fit the bill quite nicely. We’re looking at one of those solutions right now: The OIVO PS5 Controller Charging Station. Please note: this item was sent to me by the company for review, but opinions are entirely mine.

Unpacking/Setup

When I unboxed the unit, I immediately noticed it felt much more substantial than I had expected. It’s got actually got a little weight to it, which was nice. It comes with a warranty card, which outlines it’s fairly generous guarantee (3-year support, 45-day return, 90-day replacement). It also comes with some basic instructions. The English admittedly has some strange translation choices, but I could understand it easily enough. Setting up was as simple as opening, plugging it in, and placing the controllers onto the cradles. As straight forward as it could be.

Thoughts After Using

I’ve been using the unit for week now, and I like it! It’s a perfectly suitable solution for keeping your PS5 controllers charged, and it looks sleek enough. The colored light indicators let me know when the controllers are charging and when they’re ready to go. Honestly, no complaints here. If you’re interested in buying, you can actually save an extra 15% on this or any product from the OIVO store by using this link and promo code TIMELESS15. Even though we are an affiliate of OIVO, I want to restate that these opinions are entirely mine. Our reviews will always stay unbiased.

Then around 2007, I started recollecting some old favorites which led to discovering classics I missed out on. The casual hobby snowballed into a full-blown obsession, and it became my mission to make up for years of lost gaming.
